"A picture is worth a thousand words."
If you hadn't caught on from the title of this blog, I decided that I want to try to take one photo a day, for a year. Now, I have thought about doing this for a long time to simply provoke me to take more photos to improve by photography skills. But, that's not why I'm doing it. I simply want to document this year in the best way that I know how, through photos.

If you don't know who I am, my name is Rebecca. I majored in Journalism at the University of Washington, am a photographer on the side with high hopes for it to become my full time job, and am currently working at Starbucks to pay the bills. This coming August, I am marrying the man of my dreams, Dirk. We have known each other since preschool, as we grew up in the same church, but only started dated once we were in college together.
This year is a big year for us. Getting married, finding a place to live, finding "real" jobs and everything along with that. Dirk and I decided when we got engaged to focus on enjoying our engagement instead of focusing so hard on the wedding and letting it stress us out. We want to focus more on our relationship and our upcoming marriage then our wedding. And when having that focus in mind, planning the wedding has been so much more fun! I've loved being engaged and am so excited for this next year. So... Here is to documenting this amazing year through photos!
P.S. yes, 95% of these photos will probably be from my iPhone! :-)
